  • About

One of my uncles lived in the south coast town of Kosgoda. He was married to a German lady, and Mum and she were friends—my uncle and his wife had three daughters and we all got on well. Their house was on a cinnamon and copra plantation which was a wonderland for kids: we ran wild through the plantation and swam in the lagoon that bordered the property. The lagoon was full of millions of krill that would find their way into every nook and cranny if you were unlucky enough to swim into them
