If you are visiting Kolkata and are an early riser, I urge you to head to Tiretta Bazaar, the oldest of the two Chinatowns in Kolkata. Sadly, the number of Chinese residents in the city is dwindling, but there are still several stalls selling breakfast delights to punters. I always make a beeline for this neighbourhood when I am visiting relatives in the city. Momos, which are dumplings, are a must, and they are often served on little paper plates with a hot sauce or chilli oil on the side.
