Travelers on the Silk Road journeyed to east Asia to trade in silks and other goods. If this crunchy cabbage salad had been around then, they might have put it on their shopping list. As nutty as it is tasty, it gets an Asian accent from the combination of sesame seeds, cabbage and the soy sauce in the dressing. It’s a quick and easy salad to prepare and makes for a nice starter in an Asian meal. It can be made in advance and refrigerated for up to 24 hours; however if you do that, add the
