These burgers were inspired by india’s lentil fritters and our hamburgers. They’re a perfect blending of both cultures’ food-ways and together they form a low-fat, healthful, gently spiced, intoxicatingly aromatic burger. Rice and lentils combine to make a complete protein; in this burger they are slathered with Raita and Mango Chutney, which adds a spicy sweetness. The recipe yields a lot of burgers but leftovers can be frozen for later use.
