Basic spaetzle. You can reheat the spaetzle in just a little oil and top them with any sauce you like. Or you can season the butter or oil with garlic or herbs, add a little ground meat to it or top the spaetzle with grated cheese.

Ingredients

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ cup milk

Method

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and salt it. Combine the flour, milk, ¼ cup water, and a large pinch of salt in a bowl and beat well.
