Method

Take some small tender carrots, scrape and wash them. Put in a saucepan a small tablespoonful of flour, a good piece of butter, mix well, add a little milk, salt and pepper; mix well again, put in the carrots and cook slowly for about half an hour. Add a little cream just before serving.
