Method

Boil your rice and drain it well. It should be very dry and each grain separate. Take two or three piments or red peppers,1 wash them, remove the seed, cut them in small pieces, add them to the rice with pepper and salt, a piece of butter, half a tablespoonful of consommé, and cook on a slow fire for a few minutes. You can, if you like the taste of it, add also a pinch of red saffron.
