Many, many years ago, when I was backpacking through Greece, I reached the Italian border and swore I’d never again eat another roast capsicum—or any other roasted vegetable! But now I look at this oregano-tinged salad of roast chillies and creamy feta and I find myself not only nostalgic for white cliffs and blue seas but also very hungry.

Banana chillies are great for this recipe because they have a slightly sweet flavour and only a mild chilli kick, so they won’t overpower the fl
