This soup is very easy to make, as most of the ingredients can be bought ready-cooked from Chinatown. If you don’t have a Chinatown nearby it will take longer, but this soup is so delicious it’s worth the effort. To make your soup more authentically Chinese, don’t remove the duck meat from the bones - just have the Chinese barbecue shop chop it up for you and chew on the bones.
The aromatics are quite similar to those used in wonton soup with noodles</
