If you want to make just one serving, use half the amount of each ingredient listed below and cook the salmon in the microwave for 2 minutes, let it rest for 1 minute, then cook again for 1 minute, and let it rest for 1 minute more.

If you cook the salmon in decorative containers—I use oval porcelain gratin dishes—you can serve it in the same dishes you cooked the salmon in. Otherwise, I transfer the salmon to soup plates—to hold the runny sauce—pour the sauce over and around, and s
