This noodle dish feels almost too simple to be included in this book, and I’m not even sure it qualifies as a recipe. But I must share it because the minimal ingredients combine to create a flavor that is surprisingly delicious. Cheese, eggs, and noodles—what’s not to love?

Ingredients

1 serving instant noodles with seasoning packet
1 large egg
2 slices cheddar cheese

Method

In a small saucepan, bring 1⅔ cups (400 ml) water to a boil. Add the noodles and seasoning packet and cook as per the package instructions or until al dente.
