The Panini originated in Italy, so we felt it necessary to include a classic Italian. Also, we wanted an excuse to share this mouth-watering sandwich! The toppings listed here are our preferences. Feel free to dress the sandwich to your liking.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon (14 g) unsalted butter
  • 1 small ciabatta bread, split in half

Method

  1. Turn the griddle on to medium/low heat (300 to 325°F [150°C to 170°C]).
  2. While the griddle is coming up to temperature, spread the butter on the inside slices of the ciabatta bread.
  3. Lay the bread butter-side down on the griddle.
  4. Once the bread is lightly browned, pull the top slice of bread and set aside. Turn the bottom slice over and begin
