  • About

Have you ever had a Monte Cristo sandwich? It’s one sandwich we must order when it’s available at a restaurant. This French toast version is as good, or maybe even better, than the original, and it’s so simple to make!

Ingredients

French Toast

  • 1 cup (235 ml) milk
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Method

  1. Mix the milk, sugar, vanilla, and eggs until fully combined.
  2. Turn the griddle on to medium/low (300 to 325°F [150°C to 170°C]) heat.
  3. Once the griddle is to temperature, lay down a pat of butter and move it around in a circle until fully melted on the surface. Dredge the bread in the egg wash and place on the melted butter. Cook for approximately 1–2 m
