  • About

Not so common today, barbecue sauces based on butter and other fats frequently flavored pork in the past.

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons bacon drippings
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 med

Method

In a saucepan, melt the bacon drippings and butter over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté until quite soft, about 5 minutes. Mix in the remaining ingredients, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 5 minutes. Use the sauce warm. It keeps, refrigerated, for at least a week.
