  • About

Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q in Decatur, Alabama, serves the original version of this sauce on barbecued chicken. In a similar manner, we put it on our Alabama Smoked Chicken Sandwich, but we also offer the sauce with many other foods.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise (the real stuff—no Miracle Whip here)
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar, preferably cider

Method

Whisk together the mayonnaise with about 1 tablespoon of the vinegar until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients, including the rest of the vinegar, and whisk until well combined. Serve immediately, or chill for up to a couple of weeks.
