Braided Challah breads look so impressive – some of the more elaborate Challah loaves using as many as eight strands. Here I use jour, which suits my braiding abilities just fine. Being a mum to three boys I’ve never had much practice – the only thing I get to plait is bread dough and pastry! This bread is soft and delicious simply spread with butter and honey for a comforting snack anytime of the day.
