This drink—which my friend Pableaux Johnson calls “a well-tanned Tom Collins”—closely follows the Pimm’s Cup cocktail served at the historic Napoleon House in New Orleans, a dark, moody, and delicious place to be on a late afternoon. Created in 1840 in England, the Pimm’s recipe is a closely guarded secret.
