A quick-and-easy snack to make at home, a very humble version of the classic Chinese Peking duck. All it takes is a visit to your local Chinese barbecue shop — look for the roasted duck, braised chicken and red-cooked pork hanging in the window.

  1. To make the pancakes, put flour into a bowl, then whisk in remaining ingredients with a chopstick until incorporated.
  2. Continue to stir for a few minutes until dough becomes soft and pliable. Roll dough into a long sausage, then cut into 12 pieces. Roll out each piece of pastry thinly on a lightly floured bench.
