This traditional Turkish dish of poached eggs on a bed of garlic-flavoured yogurt is surprisingly delicious. In Turkey it is often served for breakfast or as a mezze dish but, at home, we often serve it as a snack or for supper with a salad. Drizzled with melted butter, spiked with Turkish pul biber or Aleppo pepper, and served with toasted flat bread or chunks of warm crispy loaf, this dish is simple and satisfying.
