Carrot Halwah

Halwah (helwah/helva) means ‘sweet’ in Arabic and different spellings of the word are used in Turkish, Urdu and Hindu too, so under this banner there are many delightful sweet dishes. This halwah was one of the first Indian dishes I helped make when I was around five years old.
