    • About

For a woman who didn’t eat sweet things herself, my mother made a mean pecan pie. Even when she forgot it in the oven, it still managed to taste good. And when she couldn’t get pecans, she substituted with walnuts. Adapted from her treasured volume of The Maryland Cookbook, this recipe is a favourite in our household and the toffee flavour and crunchy nuts work well with many single malts matured in sherry casks with toasted, nutty notes
