  • About

Sweet tea is a staple of South Carolina life, from porches to picnics. This regional favorite blends locally distilled bourbon or vodka with lemon and honey for balance, while optional peach bitters nod to the state’s fruit-growing heritage. It’s a simple, familiar drink elevated with a touch of Lowcountry nuance.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces South Carolina bourbon or vodka
  • 4 ounces strong brewed black tea, chilled

Method

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the bourbon, brewed tea, simple syrup, lemon juice, and peach bitters. Cover and shake vigorously until chilled. Strain into a tall, ice-filled glass, such as a pint glass. Garnish with the lemon wheel and mint sprig and serve.
