  • 400 g/12½ oz chicken breasts, cut into thin strips 2.5 cm/1 in long
  • 8 teaspoons

Method

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for 1 hour (to prevent them burning during cooking). Marinate chicken in satay spice paste for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  2. Thread 3 pieces of chicken onto each skewer, keeping pieces close together to maintain moisture during cooking. Cook on a hot cast-iron grill pan or barbecue or under a grill for 5—6 minutes, turning for even cooking.
