In a large saucepan, heat the oil on medium heat and fry the onion for 3 minutes. Add the minced beef as soon as the onion starts to soften, breaking it apart into pieces with a wooden spoon. Cook for 5–6 minutes until it is completely browned and the moisture has evaporated.
