This is comfort in a pot. Traditionally made for a loved one who is unwell, it helps soothe poorly tummies. It’s simple flavours aren’t just for the sick though – it’s a dish that’s said to have inspired the recipe for kedgeree, which was developed during the reign of the British Raj. I enjoy it with yogurt karri or plain yogurt.
