From India to Scandinavia, spicy cardamom is often used to enhance sweet things, and I think it makes all the difference in this easy apple dish. It’s the sort of pudding you can whip up at the last moment if you feel the rest of the meal might be a bit sparse and needs a treat at the end.


  • 5 fl oz (150 ml) carton of double or whipping cream
