Christopher’s Bombe Surprise

Our friend Christopher says he thinks a chef of the Aga Khan first thought up the brilliant idea for this recipe. When we had it at his house it provoked cries of real surprise and pleasure, just as it did when I tried it out on friends a few days later. I have given the ice cream a sharp lemon flavour which Christopher and I decided would go best with the amazing filling of grated dark chocolate which tumbles out when one of your unsuspecting guests spoons into it.
