Rum Balls

Bakers are extremely resourceful and always willing to adapt recipes or fashion something out of their mistakes. They are also great at using up leftovers, and these delicious rum balls evolved from exactly that.

When bakeries in Denmark closed at the end of the day and there were unsold cakes, cookies, and pastries sitting on the shelves not fresh enough to sell the following day, some clever bakers decided to do something with the treats that might otherwise be thrown away.
