Supposedly made with sea water, salt-water taffy is originally from Atlantic City, though you used to be able to find it along the boardwalks at most American seaside towns. Although it is not as common today, it is still available from traditional candy stores. Soft and chewy and with the addition of a pinch of salt, it is the perfect treat. Chewing on these, you can almost hear the seagulls.
