Baisers, French for kisses, is another name for meringues. These crisp, light confections made from whipped egg whites and sugar come in all shapes, sizes and flavours.
Sometimes the meringue that you get at a bakery is a chocolate one, piped in the shape of the letter ’S’. That’s the kind I’m including here, though I thought my kisses might look better as Xs and Os (and they can double for a quick game of tic-tac-toe).
