In a corner of this square is an excellent boulangerie where they bake beautifully decorated breads & if requested will prepare plaited (braided) bread hearts, wrapped as ‘paquets cadeaux’. Here as well there is ‘fougasse’, that curiously shaped bread found all over Provence, sometimes sweetened with orange-flower water (as it is in this recipe), but more often with pieces of bacon, onion or anchovy in the dough.
