You won’t think this sounds a good combination, but it is and it is very good for cold meals and with other salads.


  • cooked, cold macaroni
  • enough mayonnaise to really envelop the macaroni (use home-made mayonnaise if possible but if you are in a hurry use a good commercial mixture like Hellman’s Real Mayonnaise which is quite all right).


All you do is mix the mayonnaise, the black pepper and a lot of chopped chives in with the macaroni. Put the mixture in a serving dish and sprinkle a few more chives on top.
