  • 1 pound diced, skinless whiting fillets

Method

Salt and pepper the fish. Bring the water to a boil and then add all of the ingredients except the rice. Boil for 4 to 5 minutes. Stir in cups of rice. Reduce to simmer for 40 to 60 minutes. You should never stir a pilau after the rice has been added. Serve with slaw and dill pickles.
