Emma and Ron Goudie opened their wonderful B&B, The Old Excise House, on Islay in 2010, since when it has had nothing but glowing reviews. Formerly the Excise House for Laphroaig Distillery, it is now a luxury bed and breakfast, close to the village of Port Ellen and within walking distance of the whisky distilleries of Ardbeg, Lagavulin and Laphroaig. It is a glorious place to unwind.<
