There are blueberries being grown on the islands now and these are being widely used in the kitchens of restaurants there. In Edinbane, in the north of Skye, there are particularly good blueberries grown commercially by Skye Berries which are used in The Three Chimneys kitchen by chef Scott Davies, mainly in desserts but also in savoury dishes. Other Skye kitchens using these fabulous local blueberries are Kinloch Lodge and Sligachan Hotel.
