When you hear that the Jura Hotel is the only hotel on the island, you wonder if it’s any good, since there is no competition. Well, as it turns out, it most certainly is. The warmth of the welcome in both hotel and the snug lively pub adjoining it, are memorable. And in the restaurant the chef, Stuart Russell, is providing excellent food, most of which uses local ingredients. He serves up Jura venison haunch steaks in a delicious bramble and red wine sauce
