This ice-cream tastes exotic and perfumed, yet is seriously easy to make. All you need are a couple of scented roses (damask or other old-fashioned varieties are best), some cream, sugar and a dash of rosewater. Remember that most hothouse roses will have been sprayed, so avoid these at all costs. Pick garden roses soon after they have flowered and long before the petals fall off. Although all rose petals are edible, you should be guided by your nose: if the petals have a strong perfume, th
