This is always a popular dish at our house. It has a lovely color and a good texture. The kids love the crispy cheese crust.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds broccoli, peeled, cut into fairly large and relatively uniform pieces
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

Method

  1. In a 4-quart saucepan, bring 4 cups of salted water to a boil. Add the broccoli and boil for 5 minutes. Strain into a colander and spray with cold water to stop the cooking process. Chop coarsely.
