Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh kumquats
  • ½ cup dry red wine
  • ¼ cup

Method

  1. Slice the kumquats lengthwise. Place them in a 2-quart saucepan and add the wine and sugar. Simmer over moderate heat until the sugar is dissolved and the kumquats slightly softened.

  2. Stir in the cranberries and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for about 10 minutes, or until the berries begin to pop. Remove from the heat. Cool to room
