  • About

There are countless variations of this classic French chocolate cake, but you would be hard put to find Reine de Saba in a French pastry shop or on a restaurant menu; this is a dressed-up version of what is typically more of a homemaker’s specialty in France and other parts of Europe. The flavor of the Queen of Sheba cake base — a combination of chocolate and ground hazelnuts — is similar to the famous Sacher torte. The decoration used here, however, is more elaborate.
