Decorations made from this paste acquire a craterlike texture that gives them an interesting and stylish appearance, but this happens only if the paste is spread in a very thin layer. Chocolate paper paste is best suited to free-form shapes. It can be used with a template, but it will not stay in a precise shape, as tuile paste does.
