  1. Sift the sugar into a large bowl. Add the cream cheese and butter and, using an electric mixer on medium-high speed, beat until the mixture is light and fluffy, 2–3 minutes. Add the vanilla and continue to beat on low speed until completely combined.
  2. Use the filling immediately or refrigerate overnight.
