Grilled asparagus is simple to make and lets you enjoy a tasty, flavourful and healthy dish. It is quick to make on a grill, taking only minutes, and will make an impression at any barbecue when served with this delicious vinaigrette. It’s a perfect summer treat.

Ingredients

Grilled Asparagus

  • 1 bunch green asparagus
  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) extra virgin oli

Method

For Grilled Asparagus

Light your barbecue and set it to medium heat.

Trim about 20 percent off the base of the asparagus. In a medium bowl, add the asparagus and toss with olive oil, salt and pepper.

Using tongs, place asparagus side-by-side on the grill and cook until the tips start to char. Remove from the grill and place on a parchment-lined baking tray.
