In a medium saucepan, cook the diced apple, canned apple filling, brown butter, dried apple, and brown sugar over medium heat until simmering.
In a small bowl, stir together the sugar and cornstarch, then whisk it into the simmering apple filling. Add the apple juice and vanilla extract. Bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes while stirring with a wooden spoo
