A very simple and attractive pudding to enjoy when figs are in season. The figs can be prepared several hours in advance, then grilled just before serving.
Preheat the grill. Remove the stalks from the figs. Cut the figs in half vertically and lay them in a large gratin dish, cut-side up. Place a dab of honey on each fig. Whip the cream, add the cognac and sugar and whip a little more to thicken. Place a teaspoon of cream over each fig. Before serving, place the figs quite far below the hot grill, until the cream has turned light brown. This can h
