Sold by street vendors everywhere in north India, these little bread fritters, Double Roti Ke Pakore, are an ideal way to liven up stale bread and are absolutely irresistible eaten hot, straight from the pan. Store-bought sauces are used in this recipe to make a quick and easy snack or appetizer, but you can vary the fillings.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml/3 tbsp chilli sauce
  • 5 ml/1

Method

  1. Mix together the chilli sauce, mint sauce and mango chutney in a small bowl.

  2. Divide the sauce and chutney mixture between three of the slices of bread. Top each slice with the remaining bread to make three sandwiches. Cut each sandwich
