Mridula Baljekar is an award-winning food writer and the best-selling author of 27 Indian cookery books. Recently, The Daily Mail crowned Mridula the ‘Curry Queen the stars call when they want that ultimate Indian food experience.’ Mridula cooked for celebrities and politicians alike, but she first hit the headlines in the 1990s when she stepped in as Tesco’s Indian chilled ready meals consultant, and turned them around. Her latest venture, spiced chutneys, marinades and cooking sauces from Mridula’s Kitchen is launching in 2017. Mridula presented her own cookery series for Carlton Food Network, ‘Mridula’s Indian Kitchen‘ and the highly acclaimed ‘Spice Trail‘. Catering for glamourous high profile events, such as a garden party in No. 10 Downing Street and private dinner parties for stars such as Jerry Hall. Mridula gave up this glamourous life-style to follow her dream, i.e. writing her books, appearing in more TV and radio shows launching her own line of branded products. A range of spiced chutneys was launched in 2017 from her company, Mridula’s Kitchen.
