  • About

One Sunday morning, leave your pancake batter in the pantry and bake a batch of these instead. Pure maple syrup sweetens the cookie dough and gives it a lovely rich aroma. Bonus: lots of frosting.

Ingredients

  • cups all-purpose flour
  • teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon

Method

  1. Toast the nuts in a 350°F oven until just starting to turn golden and smell nutty, about 10 minutes. Set aside to cool.

  2. Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt into a bowl and set it aside.

  3. Cream together the butter and sugar until the mixture looks light and fluffy. Then add the egg and vanilla and mix these in until combined.
