Black and white cookie icing is the real deal: it’s colored with cocoa, not food coloring.
Mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla in a bowl until smooth. Transfer half of the icing to another bowl and add the cocoa powder. Be sure to mix until any chocolaty lumps have disappeared. Using the small offset spatula or butter knife again, spread the chocolate icing on half of the cookie. Follow with the vanilla icing on the other half.
