Ingredients

  • 3lb/1.5 kg damsons
  • ¾ pint/375 m

Method

Wash the damsons and simmer them in the water until soft, removing any stones as they rise in the pan. Stir in the sugar over low heat until dissolved. Boil hard to setting point, pour into hot jars and cover.
